Welcome to the ATB blog "J & A's Brittanys" where we love to write about, share stories, post videos and pictures featuring our beautiful, well bred Brittany family bird dogs. With their established and recognized hunting heritage our dogs also measure up to the breed standard regarding health, appearance, movement, and temperament. Enjoy the stories of whelping puppies, tips on field training, bragging rights on accomplishments, sharing joys and sorrow, announcements and as the name implies - ALL THINGS BRITTANY! With a love of God, family, friends, and dog we welcome you.

ATB: 1 Week Old Brittany Puppies

This is the 39th Christmas John and I have spent together, and it is the first time he has ever taken care of writing out the Christmas cards or completely decorated the tree with such little 'assistance' from me. I'm just blessed that he would take so much of this on just so that my focus can be upon where it needs to be and where I want it to be. You wouldn't believe the thoughtful things he does as I spend this time tucked away with Treasure and her babies. Speaking of Christmas cards, we love going to the mailbox and hearing from all our friends and family, and especially the beautiful photo cards from our ATB family. In the meantime, the woodstove is keeping everything warm and cozy here, Christmas lights adorn the whelping box, a mini tree and manger on the shelf, and Christmas music playing too. I love waking up to the view of beautiful pups and their mother.  She is sleeping through the night.  This neonatal time will soon end, a transition will come and the changes will be reflected here. Visits will begin in the middle of January for the excited new families. Holding the pups this morning, I truly reflected upon the memory of holding their grandmother when she was born here, both of their parents born here, and now of course the pups themselves. We also have their great grandmother here, from the Birch Spring program. What is even more remarkable though, is tracing them all back to our very first litter in 1990 - even if it's just the belly button theory! As always, thank you for your interest.  Take care and God bless- John, Ann, & ATB.
